Started by a group of women executives in 1922, we are the 12th oldest club in Zonta International. Our goal continues to be as it was back then, to work for a better world for women and girls, both locally and globally. We achieve these goals by contributing money, time, and effort to local service projects that benefit women and girls, by contributing money to Zonta International service programs, and by providing opportunities for fellowship to our members.

For more than 90 years our club has supported higher education for women through scholarships at colleges and universities in the District of Columbia. Over the years, our club has awarded over $2 million in scholarships to help women succeed.

Our local service activities have included, among other things, support for: shelters for victims of domestic violence; women earning their General Educational Development (GED) credential; women re-entering the community after incarceration; and homeless women.

Internationally, we support an organization that works in communities around the world to help women of marginalized communities claim their human rights and achieve self-sufficiency. We also support an educational center for girls in Kenya.

We are successful executives in business and the professions who are committed to giving back. Join us!
