2024 - 2025 Club and Foundation Annual Report

On March 24, 2025, the Zonta Club of Washington, D.C. celebrated its 103th Anniversary. At one time the club had over 120 members. Today we only have 24 members. However, our contributions and support to the District of Columbia and Worldwide continue to grow.

Key accomplishments of the Club and Foundation for 2024 - 2025:

1) Fundraising of $4,300 from our annual Holiday Card program and proceeds from Lynch Creek Farms fundraiser.

2) Contributions of $9,000 to six service programs: Kakenya Center of Excellence, The Advocacy Project, Calvary Women's Services, My Sister's Place, Tahirih Justice Center and Zonta Foundation for Women Amelia Earhart Program. In addition we supported the Greater DC Diaper Bank "Monthly" program.

3) Awarding $58,000 to 13 outstanding women through our three scholarship programs: Undergraduate, Virginia Longest Nursing, and Edith SeVille Coale Medical

4) Supporting the "Child Marriage Prohibition Amendment Act of 2024" which became DC law on March 21, 2025

5) "Zonta Says No" - 16 Days of Activism social media posts

6) NGO CSW69 Parallel Event - From Beijing to Today: Advancing the Platform for Action in a Changing World
